2003-11-03 The Story of Joe, aged 16, whose home is in our local village, a few minutes from the English Cafe:
On December 29, 2002, at the local railway crossing (six sets of tracks) just below CAS, Joe was hit by a train and lost his left leg, the lower part of his right leg and the lower part of his left arm. His family has just been told it has lost its application for compensation from the railway company. I have bought Joe a second hand computer (...thank you HK friends...) and am encouraging him to study at home. Can anyone please give advice re a special home course (in Chinese and English) he could follow ...and re the possibility of a job, maybe part-time at first.
