2004-10-25 update: today Harry and his mother attended school at Ricci. In the evening Harry with his mother and father had a meal with our group ...and with a CAS Senior One boy whose Dad owns/runs  a factory in Zhaoqing. The Dad has offered Harry's Dad a job (DG!). 
Next step (once the job is confirmed): to arrange accommodation in our area near Ricci DV

2004-10-24 Harry (from the sound of his Chinese name), five years old, badly scalded by hot water when he was a baby, a beggar with his mother, on one of Zhaoqing's main streets, his father works as a hawker.
After days of negotiations, today HK Rosa, Florence and I were able to persuade the mother to come to our San Mau area near CAS and see a unit we are willing to rent for the family + canteen for free meals ...+ visited Ricci Centre to show where Harry could study for free (has never been to school).  HK Rosa is hoping HK doctors can provide some assistance for Harry.       To be continued DV
